Structure

What time is the check-in?

We guarantee room delivery from 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Unfortunately, early check-ins are not possible.
We kindly ask you to respect the indicated time.

What time is the check-out?

Check-out must be made by 11:00am. Late departures are to be agreed upon availability with the reception within 24 hours of departure and are subject to a surcharge.

How far is the hotel from the landing stage for the Borromean Islands?

We are just a 5-minute walk from the Carciano landing stage for the Borromean Islands and a 10-minute walk from the Stresa landing stage.

How far is the hotel from the city centre?

Just cross the road and you are immediately on the beautiful lakefront of Stresa. With a regenerating 10-minute walking you will arrive in the center (800m).

How far is Stresa train station?

You arre in Hotel with a 7 minutes walk (500m). But if you have heavy luggage you can always take a taxi just outside the station and in just 2 minutes you’ll be at the hotel.

How far is the nearest beach?

The nearest public beach is a 3-minute walk from the hotel.

What can I do and/or visit?

There are many things to do and places to visit between Lake Maggiore and Val D'Ossola. We recommend you to visit the "Surroundings" section of our site, so you can get an idea of the wonders that surround us.

How can I pay for my stay?

The payment of the stay can be made directly in the hotel by credit card Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Maestro, ATM or cash.
In case you are asked for a deposit this will be paid by bank transfer.
In case you want to give a stay to someone the payment is to be made in advance by bank transfer.

How do I know if my booking is confirmed?

At the end of the booking you will automatically receive a confirmation email with all the details.

Can I change or cancel my booking online?

Yes, you can manage your booking independently of the estimate received by e-mail.
Every time you make a change on your booking you’ll receive a confirmation of the changes you made.

Does the hotel have parking?

Yes we have a large private parking within the hotel grounds, it is free for our guests. Unattended parking.

I have an electric car, is there a charging station?

Yes, we reserved two convenient parking spaces for electric cars and these are equipped with a charging station (charging is for a fee).

Is there a luggage storage at the hotel?

Yes, you can leave your luggages at reception. The service is free.

Does the hotel have internet access?

Yes in our hotel you can use for free Wi-Fi both in the rooms and in public areas.

Does the hotel have a pool?

The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool open from 08:00am to 07:00pm, every day from mid-May
to September, weather permitting.
Every morning, At the pool bar you can pick up for FREE towels.
Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for free (subject to availability, not bookable).

Does the hotel have a bar?

The hotel has two bars, one inside and one outside, near the pool
The inside bar is open daily from 11:00am to 11:00pm and has an outdoor terrace.
The outdoor cocktail bar is located in the immediate vicinity of the pool and is open daily from 11:30am to 07:00pm.

Is the hotel weelchair accessible?

Yes, the hotel is wheelchair accessible: we have access to the hotel via ramp and a room dedicated to them located on the ground floor, recently renovated and free of architectural barriers.

Are pets allowed?

Small to medium-sized pets (maximum 20 kg) are welcome in the hotel with a small supplement of € 15.00 per stay.
The supplement includes a doggie welcome bag, extra daily cleaning and dog bowls.
For safety reasons, pets in the common areas of the hotel (indoor and outdoor) must be kept strictly on a leash and can’t be left alone in the room at any time during the day or in the evening and for any reason: if you need a dogsitter service we’ll be happy to give you a trusted name. Dogs are not allowed in the pool area and we ask you not to use the green spaces as a toilet for your pet.
Their arrival must be communicated in advance, possibly during booking.

Where can I rent a bike?

Hotel Fontana has 2 classic mountain bikes available from 08:00 to 18:00 for half a day or a full day. They must be booked in advance, have a rental cost and a credit card must be provided to guarantee the reservation. Included in the rental you have: helmet, odometer, drilling kit, padlock.

All rooms are no smoking, but some have balconies or terraces where you can smoke freely.

Is there air conditioning in the room?

Yes, all rooms are equipped with air conditioning adjustable with a special remote control that is located on the bedside table.

Is there a safe in the room?

All rooms are equipped with a safe with key that you can use for free.

Is there a minibar in the room?

Yes, all rooms have a minibar containing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
The price list is above the minibar or on the desk. Drinks not communicated at check-out will be charged after check-out on the credit card provided as guarantee.

Is there TV in the room? Do you also see foreign channels?

Yes, in all rooms there is sky television and you can see foreign channels.

Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 9:30.

What does breakfast include?

Breakfast includes sweet (pancakes, croissants, cakes, etc.) and savory (cold cuts, eggs), dairy products (milk, butter, cheese and yogurt), cereals, fresh fruit and vegetables, jams, spreadable chocolate, dried fruit, selection of teas and infusions, juices, water, American coffee or on request you can have a cappuccino or espresso.

I’m lactose intolerant. What should I do?
